Independence Day celebrations at Sulgrave Manor

We’re celebrating our unique connection to the USA with Independence Day activities on Sunday July 8th! Join us for a relaxed day of make-and take-crafts, an Independence Trail, American-style food and free garden games.

The hands-on make-and-take activities include creating firework paintings, making liberty hats and clothes peg pinwheels and using a quill and ink to have a go at writing your signature just as John Hancock did when signing the Declaration of Independence. The specially themed trail will get families to seek out hidden American Independence figures in the garden. Visiting information can be found here

Our amazing volunteers!

Our volunteers have helped us hugely since we opened at the beginning of the season. Here is a picture of Margaret and Julie who dressed up at our Tudor Fair. We are always on the look out for more people to get involved as volunteers so if you fancy it, do get in touch. Costume is optional! We really love the experience and passion our volunteers bring and wouldn’t be without them. Email sally@sulgravemanor.org.uk for more information.
