Many wonderful events are held
throughout the year. |
The beautiful stone manor house was built in the time
of Henry VIII and was home to George Washington's ancestors.
It has a fine additional wing dating from the early
18th century which provides a fascinating contrast for
visitors. It is a joy to visit at any time of the year!
The season brings a special atmosphere to the Manor
the Great Hall and kitchen are decorated with swathes
of winter greenery, arrangements of traditional fruits
and lighted candles evoking the Christmas of a time
long past.

The Lord or Lady of the Manor will welcome you to his
or her home and bring to life that by-gone age. You
will hear about the festive traditions of Tudor Times
and how the household would have enjoyed the feasting
and the revelry.

BOOKING YOUR CHRISTMAS TOUR

A telephone call to discuss your group's requirements
and options.
The Christmas Tour is available during the afternoon or
evening of any week day in December up to 19th December for groups of 15 or more. A booking form
will be sent to you.
On receipt of the completed Booking Form and
deposit of £30.00, a letter of confirmation
will be sent to you.
In the event of having to cancel: if you can inform
the Manor at least 30 days before the visit, the deposit
will be refunded in full.
Confirmation of numbers is required at least
10 days before the visit.
What happens if some members of the group are unable
to make the visit on the day? The admission charge to
the tour will only apply to those who arrive but booked
meals will have to be paid for.
