The Sulgrave Manor receives a much merited first Sandford Award.
Sulgrave Manor is delighted to announce that we have been awarded our first Sandford Award, the rubber stamp of excellence in heritage education. The judges highlighted outstanding teaching & planning in their assessment:
"The members of the Education Team demonstrated levels of planning and presentation that captivated and held enthralled groups of young visitors - whose interest never wavered throughout the presentations. Attention to detail in all aspects of the visits was a highly commendable feature of the sessions observed. Overall planning, the authenticity of replica artefacts - especially costumes and musical instruments - are but examples of the care to detail in all things that are features of the property. Members of the education team are individually talented and are always pleased to share their knowledge and expertise showing a degree of enthusiasm that gains the respect and interest of visitors of all ages."
