The manor house and gardens.

A group of four to eight people can share a memorable experience of the Manor, built by Lawrence Washington, George's five times great grandfather, savour the rooms, furniture and atmosphere of authentic by gone days, and view the largest collection in England of memorabilia of George Washington.

Your private party will be shown the house by one of our experienced, friendly and informative guides entering rooms normally off limits and, after seeing the exhibit, offered refreshing drinks and biscuits with time then to wander round the splendid gardens. A light lunch can be added for an additional charge.

Private tours can be arranged on Saturdays or Sundays and in the afternoon on Mondays or Fridays. Other weekdays are possible but availability is limited.

The per person charge for a Select Sulgrave visit is £20.

Wonderful Weston

Weston Hall

Make the most of your time with us by visiting another fascinating house, whose history starts where ours leaves off in the middle of the 18th century. Weston Hall is the home, since 1714, of the Sitwell family, one of the most famous English families of the 20th century - poets and writers who were part of the world of art and culture dominated by the likes of Cecil Beaton and Noel Coward. You will be greeted by one of the family, shown their fantastic collection of portraits, porcelain and fabrics which the generations have gathered and take that most English of meals, tea, with them.

The per person charge for a Wonderful Weston visit is £15.

The Sulgrave Evening Experience

Come to Sulgrave for a truly unique evening. You will be greeted by Sulgrave's Director with a champagne reception, followed by a talk on the Washington connection. Then you will take your private tour of the house with a senior guide who will also show you the Washington collection.

You will return to the Tudor Great Hall, now prepared for your candle-lit dining at the great Elizabethan board. Your four course meal will feature the best of English produce and cooking with a choice of two menus, one purely vegetarian, the other featuring English lamb. Our vintner will select superb wines to round off this gourmet experience.

The price per person for a group of 4 is £165 reducing, pro rata, to £120 per person for a group of 8.

The Let us bring you option

You can visit the Manor without any of the hassle of getting here either for a day time or evening visit! A chauffeured car will pick you up from your hotel (if you are staying within 40 miles of Sulgrave or from Banbury or another railway station, if not) and drive you to the Manor in comfort. And return you at the end of your Sulgrave experience. The additional charge for this service depends upon distance; the maximum (40 miles) is £60 per person for groups of 4 reducing, pro rata, to £25 per person for groups of 8.
