Christmas
Groups at Sulgrave Manor
Share in the Spirit of Christmas at
Sulgrave Manor
You can enjoy the Sulgrave Christmas Experience at any
of the December Special Events - but why not make it an
event of your own?
Bring a group of friends and colleagues (you only need
15 people) and have your own special tour and meal.
Available from 1st December to the 23rd, inclusive,
on the Christmas Tour the Lord or Lady of Sulgrave Manor
will welcome you and your colleagues to their home and
tell you of the traditions that were part of their lives,
offering you mulled wine as a token of things to come.
Then they invite you to walk through their house to
appreciate its fine furniture and exquisite textiles.
The cost per head is £6.50 plus any additional
refreshments.
You can have coffee and biscuits on arrival, then visit
the Lord or Lady of the Manor and come out to lunch
- a choice of two tasty soups, followed by plum pudding
and coffee, available from 12th to 23rd December. Or
between the 1st and the 9th, you could experience our
special Christmas Tea.
If your group comes in the evening, you can enjoy the
Sulgrave Christmas Feast, provided by our partners,
Carvers, who breed and butcher their own meat and then
bring it to your table cooked to perfection. Each week
the Feast will feature one of the great English roasts,
pork, lamb or beef, accompanied by seasonal vegetables
with a glass of wine or elderflower pressé and
followed by syllabub and coffee. Before or after the
meal, enjoy the tour of the house at its most mysterious,
in the winter gloaming. The evening Feast Tour is available
in the weeks beginning December 12th and 19th. The total
charge is £30 per head. Places are limited and
bookings must be made by November 15th.
BOOKING YOUR CHRISTMAS TOUR
ADMISSION: Groups must be a minimum of 15 people.
Children accompanying an adult group are half-price
- we are pleased to arrange customised children's visits.
The adult charge for the tour is £6.50.
AVAILABILITY: The standard Sulgrave Christmas
Tour is available on any weekday from 1st December to
the 23rd, inclusive. The tours start at fixed times
during the day and you will need to arrive at least
15 minutes before that to give your group time to be
ready for the tour which will start promptly. You may
like to order coffee and biscuits on arrival (£2)
in which case please allow at least 30 minutes extra.
Between 1st and 9th December we are offering a special
Christmas Tea at £6.50 a head. From 12th to 23rd
you can book lunch with a choice of two soups, hot crusty
bread, plum pudding and coffee (£7.50). Alternatively
you might like tea and cake (£2) after the tour.
Please phone in the first instance to discuss dates
and times. Your chosen day and time will then be held
for two weeks awaiting the return of the completed form
with a deposit of £30 - refundable in full if
you need to cancel up to 10 days before the visit. You
will need to confirm exact numbers at least 10 days
before the visit. Meal numbers given at this time are
binding - you will be asked to pay for that number of
meals even if fewer people turn up. Admission charges
will only be for those who actually arrive. Since we
understand that numbers change right to the last minute,
we ask you to pay the balance only on the day of the
visit. Cheques payable to "Sulgrave Manor Board".
